Wayne Rooney: 'Nice To See Your Own Fans Booing You'

Wayne Rooney of England reacts during the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa Group C match between England and Algeria at Green Point Stadium on June 18, 2010 in Cape Town, South Africa.

Manchester United star hits out after Group C encounter.

England striker Wayne Rooney let out his frustration at the 0-0 World Cup draw with Algeria by blasting the supporters who booed the team on the pitch.

Towards the end of the stalemate the travelling Three Lions loudly booed several tame efforts on goals. The Manchester United player was among the most disappointing performers during the game as he failed to find a way past the limited Group C outsiders.

A clearly enraged Rooney fired back at the faithful who have paid thousands of pounds to watch Fabio Capello's flops upon the final whistle when he sarcastically said: "Nice to see your home fans boo you. That's what loyal support is."

England must now beat Slovenia in their final qualifying group match to stand any hope of reaching the knockout rounds.
