The equipment producers have plenty in store for this summer’s tournament.

Long known as one the foremost soccer suppliers in the world, adidas has again stepped it up ahead of this summer’s World Cup.

The latest to come from the manufacturer is an initiative called “The Quest,” a series of graphic novels based on former star Zinedine Zidane and current players Lionel Messi, Kaka, Steven Gerrard and Xavi.

An interactive game played at the company's Facebook page will have contestants compare the abilities and stats of some marquee stars. For more on “The Quest,” check out the promo video at the bottom of the page.

Also on the docket for adidas is their program called “Every Team Needs A Fan,” which will follow stars from the NBA, MLB, NFL and NASCAR as they participate in various World Cup-related activities in South Africa and online on their Facebook page. The program will start with the World Cup, so more information will come as the tournament opens up.

In circulation at the tournament will be a host of adidas products used by the top players in the game. First and most noticeably will be the Jabulani match ball that will be the only ball used in any of the tournament’s matches. The final on July 11th will use a special Jabulani ball called the Jo’bulani.

Many of the team’s in the tournament will be sporting adidas made kits. Argentina, Germany, Spain and France are among some of the bigger names to have adidas kits, that will come in either TECHFIT PowerWeb or ForMotion versions.

Finally, the boots worn some of the stars in the tournament will be adidas. The Predator X and adiZero (pictured) will be the top cleats in circulation.
