The Manchester City star is happy with his performances and those of his team, but admits the lack of a successful strike is a "low blow".
Although Argentina striker Carlos Tevez is happy with his first two performances at the World Cup, there is one statistic which he is desperate to change."I am still missing a goal," admitted the Manchester City star, who has impressed for both club and country this season.
"And not converting always annoys me, it's a low blow. But neither am I going to drive myself crazy thinking about it. The most important thing is that the team plays well," Carlitos added in Friday's press conference.
Tevez has been one of the most impressive players in the opening Albiceleste games against Nigeria and South Korea, living up to his reputation as a team player who never stops working for the good of the side.
"Everyone knows to expect nothing but 100 per cent commitment from Tevez, and that’s exactly what Diego Maradona got from the Manchester City man."
And the former Manchester United and West Ham striker says he's pleased with how the team are performing, explaining: "There is lots of tranquility around the team, we are feeling serene. We know that we have to continue on the same track and not gift anything."
The ever humble Carlitos added though that he wants to avoid Argentina being labelled as favourites.
"I hope they do not say we are candidates, and that we progress with a low profile, as we did coming to this World Cup. This way I think we can still shock a few people."
