2-2 draw with Slovenia keeps US in contention for last 16 place.

USA coach Bob Bradley was pleased with the fighting spirit shown by his side after they battled back from two goals down to salvage a draw from their match with Slovenia.

The States were well behind at half-time, but goals from former Everton loanee Landon Donovan and Bradley's son, Michael, earned the side their second point from two games.

And Bradley senior was pleased with his side's second-half comeback.

"Again I think this team has shown that it has the fighting spirit," said the United States boss.

"Today credit must be given to the players. We still have an opportunity to progress to the next round.

"We will be watching tonight's game [between England and Algeria] closely and hope for a favourable result."

Bradley was also ecstatic with his son's goal, both as a coach and as a father.

"As for Michael's goal, of course you get emotional as a coach," he noted, "and as for me, yes I was happy as a father and a coach at the same time."
